Why are there only 20 Capsules in a Jar?

Travel Probiotics only need to be taken a few days (3-5 days is recommended) before departure and for the duration of your travels and a few days after returning or as professionally directed. The contents provide enough for the average 2-week trip for 1 person.  

Can I take Optibac Travel Abroad Probiotics with Antimalarials?

Yes! The live cultures in Travel Abroad do not interfere with antimalarials or travel vaccinations, making them safe to take together. 

Recommended Use

Food supplement suitable for adults and children (from 4 years onwards) with the following recommendations:

• Take 1 capsule daily with food, preferably breakfast, starting 3-5 days before departure, continuing during travel abroad and for a few days upon return from travel, or as professionally directed.

• For anyone unable to swallow capsules, the content of the capsules may be mixed with a cold meal or beverage.

• Drink plenty of water with your course of live cultures.

Storage

• For best results, do not remove desiccant sachet from the glass jar and close lid firmly after each use.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Vegetarian capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose

Anti-caking agent: vegetable magnesium stearate; antioxidant: ascorbic acid.

Each capsule guarantees 5 billion live cultures.

Live cultures are not recommended for those with serious medical conditions e.g. those who are severely immunosuppressed, have pancreatitis, are in the ICU, have melaena, have a central venous catheter, infants with short bowel syndrome, or patients with open wounds following major surgery; unless under a doctor's care. Keep out of reach of children.
