What is E45 Itch Relief Cream?

E45 Itch Relief Cream contains an anti-itch ingredient, Lauromacrogols, which treats and soothes the itch caused by eczema, dermatitis, pruritus, and other dry skin conditions. E45 Itch Relief Gel is also available here.

How does E45 Itch Relief cream work?

E45 itch relief cream contains, Lauromacrogols, which treat and soothe the itching caused by eczema and other dry skin conditions. It is also formulated with Urea which is a moisturiser naturally found in the skin.

Lauromacrogols has a topical anesthetic that provides relief from itchy skin when this product is applied.  The urea helps the skin to retain moisture to keep it hydrated. These two ingredients work together to soothe the skin and keep it comfortable whilst providing hydration for up to 24 hours.

What can cause dry skin and how can you prevent it?

Dry skin can be caused by:

• The weather
• Heat
• Hot baths and showers
• Swimming
• Harsh soaps and detergents.

A lack of humidity due to the weather or heaters reduces skin moisture. Long hot baths and showers will dry out the skin. Swimming and harsh soaps and detergents can strip the body of its natural oils which dry out the skin.

To prevent dry skin:

• Try not to stay in areas with dry air to long
• Wear clothing that is soft and let your skin breath
• Use mild, non-perfumed skin products
• Have shorter, cooler showers and baths

Suitable for adults, the elderly, children, and infants over the age of 1 month.

Warnings and Precaution

• Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients this cream contains
• Do not use on on acutely red, oozing, infected, or inflamed skin
• If breastfeeding: Do not apply to breasts immediately before breastfeeding

Active ingredients:  Lauromacrogols 3.0%w/w and Urea 5.0% w/w

Other ingredients: Dimeticone, Phenyl Dimeticone, Liquid Paraffin, Cetyl Palmitate, Stearic Palmitic Acid, Octyldodecanol, Glycerol, Polysorbate, Carbomer, Trometamol, Benzyl Alcohol, Purified Water

How do I use E45 Itch Relief Cream?

Dosage:

Apply to the affected skin TWICE daily.

What are the side effects of E45 Itch Relief Cream?

Possible side effects:

• Burning sensation.

• Itching.

• Flushing of the skin due to widening of the small blood vessels (erythema).

• Formation of pus-filled spots
