The Active Ingredient in Glycerin suppositories is Glycerol which is a mild irritant. It works by encouraging muscles around your back passage to contract. This helps you to go to the toilet.
What is constipation, how is it caused and what are the symptoms?
Constipation is when you find it hard to poo or you go to the toilet less often than usual. It can be caused by not eating enough fruit and vegetables, lack of fibre in the diet, poor diet, not drinking enough fluids, and being inactive.
The symptoms of constipation can be passing fewer than three stools a week, having lumpy or hard stools, straining to poo, feeling like a blockage is in the rectum, or that you can't completely empty your rectum.
Warnings and Precautions
These suppositories are not for infants or children.
Rectal use only. Suppositories must not be taken by mouth.

You are allergic to any of the ingredients this medicine contains
Speak to your GP before use if:
You are pregnant, might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding. (Glycerin Suppositories should not be used in pregnancy unless the doctor has told you to do so)
Ingredients
Active ingredients: glycerol.
Other ingredients: gelatin and water.
This medicine does not contain lactose, sucrose, or gluten.
